agp 8x boost. huh?

quick question, i have a 9500np and the highest 3dmark i can get without the softmod was 7300. i then lapped the heatsink/fan unit and now im able to run an amazingly fast and very stable 425/303(606)mhz OC but i still only get about 9500 3dmarks. my current board is old and only supports agp4x. im getting an nforce2 board that has agp8x support. i know it wont be twice as fast but can i at least expect to break 10k with the new board? also im geting a 2500+ barton that im going to try run at 400mhz (as well as my new ram).

The bus difference won't change much, but the fact that you'll have faster RAM and a better processor should help quite a bit. I bet you won't have much trouble getting 13k.

the new processor, board and ram will help alot but you wont get any bonus from the agp 8x.
