I always see the AGP slot next to PCI slot one on ALL motherboards. And some newer mother boards have small cards for audio interface that take up a PCI slot back plate connector. But like on the Soyo Dragon board the practice it to move the AGP one slot down.

This is just wrong. Why not place the connector for the audio riser between AGP and PCI 1 and NOT place PCI one next to the AGP - there wold be more room for cooling and no slots get waisted.

The way Soyo did it two slots are waisted with a large GPU cooler. if there was no downward shift of slots still one slot is waisted - I think my idea waists nothing.

My A7V266-E Leaves space to mount an exhaust fan underneath the CPU. In other words, the AGP slot is moved down a bit, so that the top back plate can be used for an exhaust hole.m It actually reduced my case temps by 1 to 3 degrees.
