i think my video card is possibly limiting my overclockability. whenever i set the fsb over 103 mhz i have to drop the agp to 2/3 otherwise its a no go. my video card is a diamond viper 550.

first off, am i right about the card not wanting to go at over 100 fsb, and what cards are good for arround $150-$200 that also work with well linux and windows.

thanks

I have run my vidcard at 106 MHz FSB and 1:1 AGP divider.....no problems and no distortion with 3Dmark stress test. Currently it is working OK with my setting and 1:2/3 (that will be 88.7 MHz)

Why dont you want to run the card at 2/3?
There is no performance loss from doing so as the video card timings are not set from the agp bus speed.

Placid is rite on this one, i seriously dought that your Vcard is holding you back, i'm running mine at 167FSB and there is no adjustment as you have so i know i'm pushing it.

of course you guys arent going to have problems with it. look at your vid cards. mine is two years older than any of yours. why would you want to run at 66.6% of capacity when you can run full out.

Hi outhouse,
Your motherboard runs the agp bus at 1/2 the cpu fsb so your running at only 83.5mhz
