I have occasional lockups when playing games.

I installed a benchmarking program called "SiSoft Sandra" and it tell's me the following warnings:

>Warning W2528 System monitor device implementation is known to vary.
>Warning W2521 APG bus speed is too high. Reduce FSB speed or FSB/APG multiplier.
>Warning W2520 PCI bus speed is too high. Reduce FSB speed or FSB/PCI multiplier.
>Warning W2526 ISA/DMA bus speed is too high. Reduce PCI speed or PCI/ISA multiplier.

I have searched allover BIOS trying to find how to change the bus settings.
Unfortunately I didn't find it.
I have a Soltek motherboard -> REV Q6 -> VIA KT133 Chipset
for an AMD Athlon processor
I did not change the jumper settings (left it like I baught it) - I baught my pc 2 months ago. not overclocked !
my system specs:

AMD Athlon 1.2 Ghz
256 mb RAM
GeForce 2 GTS 64 mb DDR
Sound Blaster AudioPCI 128

Someone please help me fix this.

PS: any other info you need about my pc in order to help me... ask me

Technodrill...Most of those warnings are normal any time you overclock via FSB changes. They really are considered regular and kind of funny to see cause that's really what you want to achieve...to an extent.

Can you add some additional info so everyone knows what your running?
Check in the BIOS and see what your FSB is, Mulitplier, PCI, AGP etc. What temps are you running?

I am an amateur at BIOS. tell me what FSB and Multiplier means. I didn't see either of those names in my BIOS.

What do you mean by temps ? ...temperature ?
My system temp can easly reach 60 degrees when I play games.
CPU temp stays around 30 degrees.

I just reinstalled SiSoft Sandra and now it doesn't give those Warnings anymore... just a tip: "Current APG data rate not optional"

I checked my APG bus and it said: "VGA palette snooping seriously reduces performance, disable it if you don't need it."

I looked into BIOS but I didn't find this option "VGA palette snooping" or whatever it's called.

WillysNut, maybe you made an error but he specifically said he was NOT overclocking
which means Sandra is probably making an error reading these settings unless the bus speed of the computer changed spontaneously, which hopefully it did not.

technodrill, I'm happy to here the warnings have gone away but have no solution for your VGA Palette Snooping problem, someone will probably know what you're talking about, just gotta wait.

(BTW, this is the guy who told ya to come here on IRC hehe)

Yes that looks exactly like my mainboard !

I disabled the VGA Palette Snoop option in BIOS. Doesn't help. :(
Still get many lockups.
