I see it on bestbuy.com, but that's only the 256mb. Anyone know when the 512mb may be released and how much?

Comparison

How would you compare this card to an X800XT PE (this is what I currently have). Off the top of my head the X800XT PE is 16 pipes and the the X1950pro is 12. I know there must be a whole lot of other areas for comparison, but I am still scouring for those. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks impressive.
Why only 8 pipes and how would this compare to the 7800GS with 16 pipes.
Also how does the memory bandwith compare to the 7800GS with 44gb of bandwith.

Do all Ati cards have less pixel pipes and more shaders than nVidia?

I also wonder how the x1950pro would stack up to a 7800GS.

7900 GS took a beating!

It smokes the 7900 GS by a mile in the diff. test I have seen.

I have the PCI-E version made by HIS and all I can say is WOW!!!

so whats the verdict? should I replace my X850XT PE with the X1950PRO? I have AGP and want the best possible. But the 16 vs 12 pipelines scares me. SOmeone clarify for me? Thanks!

I have an ASUS A8V Deluxe mobo, 2G of Kingston HyperX PC3200 RAM, AMD Athloin FX-55 and currently running the Visiontek X850XT PE 256 AGP. Like I said my main concern is the 16 vs 12 pipelines. I am not a PC noob, but dont know enough to take the plunge without helpful advice from someone more keen on th info I desire. Thanks again bud.

i should add that another main reason I want the 1950pro for is the HDCP support as I am planning to get an HD-DVD drive very soon. I do not want to take a preformance hit on my gaming though as I do alot.
