Omg, I stuck this old Rage XL card into my g/f's computer to get rid of the onboard video lag, and I went onto the ATI site, and discovered 'alternate' drivers to the one's on the WinXP disc, and it supports OpenGL and better Direct3D support. Heh, before these drivers, Diablo II wouldn't work in D3D.... I can play Quake 2, now, as well. :)

...just thought I'd share my joy, being away from home.

Apparently it uses a form of the Rage Pro drivers, as that's the version it says its using. I can get Quake3 test1.08 (yes, this is old) up to 512xwhatever res with all the quality settings on to work at an observeable level (prolly 15fps). Disgusting, I know.. but hey, its the test and its a RageXL for christ's sakes... glDoom runs, but a frame every few seconds.. horrible.. but at least its something for a machine that simply surfs.. P3-933, with 128mb pc133 and WinXP...

...I'm having fun with some old stuff... I needa get an overclocker for this... :p
