Air Flow & Fan Placement

I just got done reading an article that talks about two fans going out is better than one going in and one out. I have always though my setup was pretty good. i have the bottom blow in with the card helping direct the air upward then the second fan on the bottom up on an old HS to push the air up then an exhaus fan on the top in back. puss my 92mm CPU fan. is this the best way ore should i move the bottom or front fan around. i like the front one there because i spent all the time to remove all the steal casing infront of it. well here is a pic of what i though the flow would be like and it seems good to me. If it is suggested to move it i will give it a try.

You could always just flip the fan around and see what kind of change in temps you get. I think the way you have it is best, and youll have more negative pressure sucking in dust if you flip the front fan around.

well i was think about taking the fan that is on the bottom and some how putting it on the back to the left of the CPU or something but then i would be sucking all the hot air across the memory. so maybe put it on the bottom back blowing out or two on the top. i don't know where just something. lol

My recommendation would be to find out what the cfm for each of your fans is (including the P/S if possible) and see if your case has more air coming in that going out (positive pressure) or more going out that coming in (negative pressure). Positive keeps out more dust that negative but some systems work better with Negative pressure. What ever you have now; if ain't getting you there; I would do the oppisite to see how it comes out. Don't change the P/S fan around however, because you would just be pulling heat back into the case from the P/S. Just my $0.02. :)

oh and do you all think there is a good way to get more air to the CPU Fan? i really don't wan't to cut into the side of the case. i mean with the case off i run at 30c but after i put it on it goes up to 34c full load. that is not bad but i am trying to figure things out so they are perfect when i get my hopefully duel athlon. i don't want to mess with it then, just enjoy.

Duct one of your fans right into the top of the hs. When I say right into, I don't mean attach it to the hs. You want the duct about 1" from the top of the hs for the best results. If you duct to the hs from one of the already in place fans, you will also be adding turbulance to the air flow which helps to take away even more heat. Some time though, you will want to take the fan that is on your hs off because the air pushing right on to it could shorten its life span and be rather noisy if it creates to much pressure.
Also, do the fans say who made them? If so, you can usually go the manufactorers website and do a model search.

How bout you take the fan thats on the floor of the case and put it in back under the PSU. try it blowing out, it'll exhaust the hot air coming off the cpu. then try it blowing in, it will supply the cpu fan with fresh air. whichever way works better, leave it.
