AK31 question

I bought an AK31 Motherboard refurbished from newegg. I have an athlon xp 1700+ in it. On bootup it doseant say Xp 1700+, it just says Athlon 4. It shows the correct Mgz. Do I need to update BIOS?

Yep..like the above said..flash the bios...because the AK31 will report a xp1700+, xp1800+..mine does...as well as most others im sure..

Ok, thanks guys. I am going to flash BIOS tonight. I have one more question. On Bootup, the bios version is reported via kt266, vt8366. But I purchased a 3.1 and the sticker on the board says its a version 3.1 which uses kt266a. Whats up with this? I donr want to flash the wrong BIOS.
