Alchohol to kill algae?

If I put alcohol in my setup to kill the algae, A will it kill the algae, and B, how much sould I put in a 10 gallon rez?

it would also evaporate.... so it would be mostly pointless

yup, go to your local pet store and ask them for some algicide, they have it. or you could go to your local auto store and get some red line water wetter like a good overclocker, cause not only does a few ounces of the stuff increase your cooling capacity through better flowrates, it also kills nasties, and helps to prevent bubbles from sticking anywhere in the system
