Alpha or Kaine?????

This question is for a friend.... He wants to buy a cooler for Tbird 900@???? He is thinking about:

- Alpha PEP66-U
- Alpha PAL-6035 MUC
- Kaine Hedhehog 238M

(motherboard: ASUS A7V)

Wich one would he buy?

The Alpha HSFs have a trail of success stories that you can tap into, off the Web, to help you assess their worth, but what throws me is the apparent lackluster success of the Hedgehog. By rights, it should be up there with the Swiftech MC-462A in performance, but it isn't. I'd speculate that more experimentation needs to be done with the Hedgehog using beefier fans, like 80 and 90mm ones with some form of mounting hack. As far as using the same fan my MC-462A uses. I would not recommend that fan to anyone other than a deaf person, or someone who has the case in a different room from the operating position. That 68 cfm Delta is a howler! It is very effective at doing what it's there for, but a real pain on the brain.
