I'm having a hard time selecting a motherboard for a low power machine I'm making. I want an AMD chipset motherboard, I want low power consumption and I'd rather not pay a whole lot if at all possible. My brain is hurting for reading motherboard manuals looking for vcore adjustment settings for various 690, 740, 770, 780 chipset motherboards. I haven't seen one that explicitly states that you can turn the vcore down in the bios. I've seen options for increasing it of course.

Does anyone have one of these motherboards and do they have options in the bios to drop the vcore?

I'm planning on installing a 3600+ brisbane, dropping its speed down and lowering the vcore.

ECS has a 690G board with a rebate the drops it to30 bucks. You can adjust VCore down to below 1.20. If you link to their site, you can down load the manual and see exactly what features are available. I've has a lot of stable success with their boards but limited overclocking. They will underclock.
