AMD Atholn XP Temp problems.

Ok me and my dad are starting a project soon. A phase change cooling unit that any one can use. But I can get any programs to register the temp. Is there any that you know of that would register a temp off of something this old it would be greatly appreciated. . It’s a 2100+.

I've found HWMonitor to be able to read Athlon XPs, it's read three different socket 462 CPUs i've tried, an athlonXP 3000+, a Sempron 2800+, and an AthlonXP 1800+.
It depends on the motherboard too though.

A very small thermocouple can be embedded in the CPU heat spreader (or could be, if AthlonXP's had one), or the heatsink (or whatever you call the bit of a phase change unit that sits on the CPU).
It'll be close temp wise, if not exact.

Thanks guys. Sorry for the late reply but this is final exam week.:comp:

And i have been busy. I will try everything everyone has posted here and get back to you all.

Again thanks for all the help.

Gob Bless
And Merry Christmas
