I unlocked my AMD 2500+ Barton to a AMD Mobile Athlon XP-M(Model 10) by connecting last 2 bridges on L5 (change it to Mobile M), cutting bridges on L6 (get max mutiplier of 15X). and cutting bridges on L8 and L11 for Voltage starup and max voltage. I used Abit Nf7 - S ver2 with BIOS 21. I am still can not get Xp to see it as a Mobile AMD to use the POWERNOW in AMD mobile CPU without it I am still can not change the multipier on the fly.
Anyone with same mobo and get it work please run WPCREDIT to get a copy of the HOST BRIDGE setting to get it work ...
The new UNLOCK barton is running at 180Mhz x 11 at 1.5V(MOBO) which equal to 1.275V(Mobile) stable with all torture tests I thrown at it (47C idle and 54C full load)
Here is a frew pictures of it

THANKS

It just got better at 38C idle

with the help of CPUidle Extreme my new UNLOCKED 2500+ Barton is very happy at 38C idle and 50C in full load. I still need help to get the winXP to see it as AMD Mobile CPU those. ANyone have any idea how? I am pretty sure it got something to do with POWERNOW, I ahve tried every ways and after reboot it still is a UNKNOWN CPU TYPE in winXP... Check out that Voltage it is running 1.425V in ABit NF7 - S

Umm, as far as we know all NF2 MBs have Powernow disabled. An we don't know how to reenable it. You need to use a a Via DDR chipset or SIS chipset, also maybe a ATI chipset might do it (originally a mobile chipset).

Also I did get the "supported" on. Everyone should take my word for it, I don't need screenshots to prove it unless it really is crazy. You can't feel good inside when you know you don't actually have that.

so after modding to mp, it uses less vcore at the same clockspeed???

lower temps???

I can adjust the multiplier on the fly on my KT600 mobo, but I can't change the FSB from within Windows - but I'm not unhappy about the tradeoff.

Hey.. I have that same proggy.. why cant I access those options?!!!!

nope - at this point you cannot use the mobile trick to unlock a barton on an nforce2 board. You have to buy an actual mobile barton - like I just did :D
