The following are some generalizations concerning the multipliers of thoroughbred processors, please visit Captain Hilt's thread for specific discussion/support.

All XP2000+ and lower rated tbred cpus will be unlocked from the factory, allowing multipliers 5-12.5 to be adjusted in the bios of ANY MOTHERBOARD that support the processor and have multiplier selection.

All XP2100+ and higher processors will be unlocked from the factory for multipliers 13-18.5 on ALL MOTHERBOARDS that support these processors. In order to adjust the 5-12.5 multipliers on the XP2100+ and higher processors you need to join the 5th/right-most L3 bridge. See this thread for explanation.*

A couple of people did indeed find a 2200+ T-Bred B. They are very rare, but do exist, and do overclock rather nicely. The latest Barton stepping is AQXEA, and does better than all the former. There's also a new T-Bred stepping: AIXHB. I think that they overclock as well as AIUHB's, but don't quote me on this one.

XP1700+ tbred 'B' core 1.60v default 1466mhz/266mhz bus

Hmm.. My cpuid says my 1700 is running at 1472.. Its a "b". 1.6v core.. then again.. could be the pos mobo LOL.. sys clock is 133.90 tho..

Every board has a system clock speed that is off by a little bit. That is the reason for your speed. It's common and yours isn't as bad as some.

I threw together a quick pic for unlocking my (soon to be delivered) Tbred and thought I'd share it. Yes, I know, it's just the paint guide from the ocinside.com website, but I printed this out so that since my computer will be down for about a day and my memory sucks, I won't mistakenly paint over the wrong dots.
