My Abit bf6 can overclock my P3 coppermine quite easily from the Softmenu 3 bios. I was wondering if in general AMD chips require retrofitting or modifying before you can O/C them or are some types easier than others? Im a newbie to AMD stuff so im trying to start by getting a chip that will be user friendly for o/c. I havent bought anything yet but I will spend no more than 200 dollars to get a MOBO and Chip. TIA for any help!!

Well, in most cases u have to unlock the multiplier, by connecting 4 bridges on the chip ( It's an easy mod).
I think the Durons OC a little bit better then the T-birds and the classics.
I have a Duron 700@978Mhz on a A7V, and I was amazed how easy it was to overclock with this setting.
