AMD Motherboard Spec Question.....

Does anyone know the specs on the holes around the socket on socket A boards? I measured 3" wide by 2.25" long. Is this correct? I've searched the net for this info, and am having trouble finding it.

I think I saw a post on this in alternative modding and in the AMD mobos forums. Not positive, though.
