amd od.1st time multiplyer oc

well i fiddled with my multiplyer for the 1st time useing amd overdrive [cheatin lol].loadsa headroom still in this i can feel it.any advice greatly welcomed so pop away.cheeers dudes n dudets

i think the biggest advice is stop using over drive and get it set up to your liking in the bios

I agree. Overdrive is a quick and dirty tool but it does have it's uses.

The 940 should get 3.6GHz at least. Don't go over 1.5v on the cpu and what are you using to cool the processor?

Pimpanther, you can read all about how to overclock the Phenom II 940 in my guide (see sigs).

AOD is not the best tool to use to OC your CPU. Its great to learn how to overclock from it, but not the best to create a stable 24/7 OC.
