Well I've had this pc for a while can't really scrounge enough money to get anything new so I was looking for some help in squeezing some life out of my comp. I for the life of me cannot understand much of this. Haha. I will provide as much information as I can to get things started. Anything is greatly appreciated in this quest! sjaqm.png

Tell us more about your system. Is this a box store computer or a custom built box? The "Pegatron" motherboard is not an everyday enthusiast board brand. My laptop has a Pegatron motherboard.

It was a comp bought about 2 years ago which wasn't so hot, since then I have gotten a new cpu,gfx card, I'm pretty sure everything else is stock. It was my older brothers computer, so I do not know if he installed a new psu. He is in Cambodia at the moment otherwise I would ask him. xD.

I almost forgot to mention that it was store bought.

It won't have overclocking ability. The department store computers have very basic bioses with no overclocking options. The manufacturers don't want you changing stuff.

oh. :( is there anything you can suggest? Like any upgrades or anything like that?

Edit: I'm pretty sure I need a new mobo, but I am in the dark in which I could get or anything. I'm sorry my answers are so vague. xD

When it comes to department store computers (think, "Dell", "HP", "Gateway", "Emachines") you don't really have much to work with when it comes to upgrades since they typically have proprietary case designs and other proprietary design components. You're pretty limited to things like adding more memory, installing a better gfx card and maybe upgrading to a faster processor. Anything more would require starting from scratch with a new case, PSU, motherboard, and memory and a new CPU cooler, anything more in the sense of being able to overclock, that is.
