AMD retail HSF

I just purchased a tbird 1ghz retail box. It came with the retail hsf already attached. Will taking this hsf and replacing it with an AMD approved one void my warrenty??
 
well by changeing/modofieing the hsf on a video card voides any warenty on it then id say that would on the prossor........but i couold be wrong
 
the heatsink came attached on your 1ghz T-bird?? it didn't on mine! Its all seperate!
 
and I am using a global win FOP-32 now with the retail CPU....it doesn't cool any better then the retail....same temps

1.1ghz idle temp: 84F
full load: 107F
 
well ffor what i have seen is all these "Blue Bird" chips all have there heatsinks Epoxied to the chip

i seen this when looking at naked cores with white epoxy permantaly on the side of the cores

could be a "Blue Bird"

that would be cool
 
Blue Bird, Blue Bird ... Dammit, I have a RED bird!!! The core is RED! Someone tell me something about this!!
