Its a pretty simple question.. I about to build a server for bout 5 people. Budget is a problem (aka hard drives) so I was thinking bout using a AMD 1090T CPU with 1333 16gb of RAM. So the question is, Will the CPU work just fine?

It should work fine. 6 cores will be an advantage with a server and so will multiple hard drives in a stripped and redundant array with lots of memory.

What are you using this server for, exactly? If this is just file sharing, get the cheapest processor you can find and lower the memory.

^^^^ Like he said. For storage you don't need power. Comes down to what you're using it for.

For file server id do an atom all in one itx mobo with a raid card unless the new ones have raid controllers 4gb of RAM and use the money saved for moar hard drives ;D

Its just for file sharing, thanks for the help.
In that case, get a cheap motherboard, processor and enough RAM for the operating system your running. Otherwise, you would be throwing money at a problem that doesn't exist and would detract from the purpose of the server.
