I've painted the Platinum drive bay since then. :)

Whoa, that looks pretty nice :)

How did you do that? Put a rod through one end of the insert or was the case already like that?

Looks nice :) Nice job.

I poked some holes in the drive bay faces, and used a paperclip, the hardest part was the button, for sure. Unlike a regular stealth job where the button hits dead on and the face goes with it, I had to angle the button so the drive bay wouldn't "catch" and only halfway open up. I ended up using a "Q" from an HP keyboard I had laying around. Took about 6 hours, another pain is cd-rom placement within the computer. I wrecked this burner trying to take it apart to paint the cd-tray, apparently those thin flat cables don't just rip out, eh? :D New burner will be here tomorrow, and paint it I shall.

Why? So you can get the same case and copy my ideas exactly? No thanks.

;) Just kidding. I believe the brand is CG, and I know TigerDirect used to sell them, I picked mine up off of E-bay for about $60. It really has a bunch of nice features, it holds 9 VISIBLE 5.25" drives, and it comes with brackets to use 3.5" devices like hard drives too, you can see the intergrated floppy cover, it has front USB and Microphone ports, and instead of screws for the PCI slots it uses this plastic bracket that clamps them down, a blowhole, and each side panel, along with the top is removable, also a loop for a lock. Good layout.

yeah, that is a very nice mod. I was happy with my stealthed drive, but if you can get it to do a flippy thing too, even better.

Very cool, but that kinda of stealthing method only works in certain situations where the faceplace has room to pivot. It works perfectly your case, but it won't with 95% of the cases out there. Some have used hinges, but even tiny hinges still stick out the front a small amount.

Mod On!
