Well I finally got my 8K3A rig going and started tinkering today. I left the multi @ auto and started upping the fsb. Ive read that the 3a likes voltage so I set the vcore @ 1.85 and got to 180x10.5. It would not load win98se @182 until I raised the vcore to 1.90. Thats where I left it for now. The only benchies I ran were sandra bandwidth tests and 5 loops of burnin. Temps @ load were 44c so I think I'll get a pretty good OC from this 1600. All comments are welcome. Do you think I can hit 200fsb on air with this?

Without unlocking? NO (that' 2100 MHz)
Unlocked? Maybe. Just depends on components. Good luck in your pursuit of 200 FSB! I'm behind you.

Have 8k3a, hit 205FSB on air, running 190FSBx9 at the mo on unlocked 1600+. 100% Prime Stable.
DRAM is the issue, I had Generic DDR333 and could not get past 170FSB, I changed it for (Amazing) Micron PC2100, and hit 190FSB at 2.9vDimm. At 3.2vDimm I can hit 205FSB.
I cant get the 8.5x multi so Im stuck at either 205x8 for 1640mhz or 190x9 for 1710mhz. I
I havent got Prime95 to run stable at 205FSB.
Ill benchie this at lunchtime and let you guys see the results.

My 1600 is unlocked. I just started and havent changed the multies yet. I have tested them bios boot only and I get everthing except x6. Dont know whats up with that but the others seem to work fine.
Markodude is that micron pc2100 crucial?
WiNnErPL I now it wont be easy if possible at all but thats the challenge. Others have done it and hope to be in that catagory
