SAMSUNG 959NF 19" SYNCMASTER (0.24mm 110Khz 1600x1200/87Hz TCO99 FLAT USB)

It is supposed to handle 1600*1200/87Hz right. But I can only go up to 75Hz, even on 1280*1024 or whatever it is.....the max resolution is 85Hz.
I have a "Gainward Gf4 MX440", so that isn´t the problem.....I think.

Anyone have an answer....

Try going into the display settings and look under the monitor or adapter tab. You might have to manually set the maximum refresh rate.

Also, is your monitor set as a default montior in device manager or plug and play? If it's set as a default monitor that could explain this as well... change it to plug and play in that case...

I don´t think thats the problem either, in the device manager it says the name of my monitor, not "default" or "plug and play" monitor.

I downloaded the newest drivers today, but that didn´t solve the problem.

......please help?!

If you have another card handy, try it out. I really don't think it could be the card causing the problems, but you never know.

If that isn't the problem, try to go through any diagnostic steps with you monitor. Call Samsung if you have to.

If they can't help you, RMA. Buy a ViewSonic, or if you have the money, a LaCie.
