Another New Rig

I just got an old 2.1 GB hard drive, and an old 10 base NIC. It also turns out my old PSU still works! I'm adding:
800mhz P3
128mb of ram

I'm going to install win2000 temporarily to fold until my friend gives me a copy of Linux next week.

Running Linux may be more stable than Win98, but I'm not sure about folding speed (I think the same speed?). But you'd save time in not having to reboot and worry about the OS crashing, etc.

A Mac OSX version was just released.

Linux folds slower!!!!!! Sorry to be the bearer of this news. Not as slow as the OSX client by no means. but it is slower than windows.
