I applied some Antec Silver compond to my proc and HS a few days ago, and my temps are higher than they were with the generic White Them stuff from Ratshack... anyone have any ideas?

Yes, too much can be a big problem as it will seal in heat. Also, I think it's best to stick with the real AS5 rather then copycat products.
 
If you applied it to both the CPU and the heatsink this may be part of the problem. You may want to have a look at the instructions. BTW, Antec Formula 5 will perform identical to AS5. ;)

Yes, and my new R7 Formula7 will perform the same as a Formula One Race Car. If you have applied your foot to both the accelerator and the brake pedal this may be part of the problem. LOL :rolleyes: (Pardon my cynicism but in our world I've come by it honestly)
