No this isn't the hottest deal on the planet, but anytime you can beat Newegg and Googlegear's prices, you know you're getting a bargain.

I was in need of a new power supply as my SL400 just isn't giving me the power I need. Had I got the TruePower 400 orginally, I probably would have been okay (I don't recommend the SL line).
So I was looking at the Truepower480, but I happened onto Directron's site, and noticed they had the TP550 on sale, and even with shipping, it came to almost $20 less than Newegg's price. Shipped came to $103 and change. Newegg's price is $118.99 plus another $7 for shipping. Granted I had to settle for ground shipping, but big deal. It's not an emergency, so I'll gladly wait. If you looking for a hot P/S deal, this might be for you..

That's a great deal. If that was around when I got my duallie, I would have that instead of the True 480.

Nice deal .

Anyone try a Antec True "Control" 550 ($109 @ Direcrton) ?

I have the regular TP550 , but was wondering how well the
"True Control 550" worked in reguards to using the ajustments and overclocking .

Granted I have not had any problems with my TP550 but my +12v rail goes down to 11.86 at times ( no stability problems though from what I can tell ) .

Maybe I should test it with a MM.

So ..... anyone try or use a Antec "True Control" 550 ?

TIA

Not to thread crap, but absolutely test it will a multimeter. MBM5 reads mine @ 11.8-11.9, but its actually dead on.
