Hi everybody on the "software" forum.
Seeing that McAfee isn't letting ver.4 update DATs now, what's everybodies choice on anti virus software?
I have a daughter that downloads a lot.

Norton AV. I use it at work as it easy to administer several PC's at once. I've been very happy with it, much more so than when we used McAfee.

I agree with blebs99. I recommend getting Norton System Works. It is a package of thier stuff for just a little more money. I got it for about $29 after rebates. And they have the Pro version with more things on it. (I should have gotten the Pro).
AVG is the best for free!
Good luck.

Maybe I am on the 'wrong' site as I have a Dell Inspiron 3800 Laptop. The point I wished to make is allthough I have no reason other than what I have to say about Norton 2000 and presumably 2002, is that Norton 2000 has problems with the Dell Inspiron 3800. If anyone has experienced dificulties and has any susggestions to put forward then it would be well recieved.

I can't speak for McAfee, but Norton is taxing me at about 6%.
I can live with that! :)

2k1 is doin me just fine here:) pc-cillin came with the 8KHA+ i got but it doesnt work with winXP. ill eventually get 2002 or wait for 2003 or when something new comes out that makes upgrading worthwhile. 6% for 2001 is about right.
