So who here made big bank with the ps3 and wii? I made a whopping 65 bucks on my second wii that i sold on ebay :) lol.

So who else sold em on ebay and made cash?
 
was...i have my ps3 sitting next to me, but 30 hours in line doesnt quite justify $400 -- i may keep it.

I think it still does...thats 13 bucks an hour there...and next year you will be able to walk into any store and get a ps3 for retail price

So...whats he gonna do? sell it on ebay for $460? never met him in real life, but I think someones life is worth a little more then $2 an hour.

Sooner than next year would be my guess. This is the same marketing game that has been going on since the original cabbage patch thing like 25 years ago.

The initial release is distributed short to build hype that they just cannot make enough of them, in this case supported by the various paid review sites being leaked clues about how one microchip is in a total state of under supply. But if you watch the market, shortly before X-mas, when every consumer sheep in the world has spent a few weeks stewing in how hard they are to come by, the other twenty million that have been sitting in a warehouse in Malaysia will be released and the stores will be flooded with them (about ten days before X-mas would be my guess).

By that time, the pre-xmas rush will be on and nobody will notice.
