I am ready to upgrade my motherboard. I would like some suggestions. Please list several reasons for your suggestion. A few perameters are a must: 4X agp, overclocking capabilities, five absolute min pci slots, etc. I can read ok so do not be affraid to go into great detail.

Have a nice day fellas,

ummm, there's some good (great mobos actually) to be had at lower prices, i dont understand why 4x agp is a must for you as the performance gain over 2x is negligible. just about anything based on the bx chipset that supports a p3 be it a slot1 of fc-pga mobo is great. the bx is probably the best chipset around. my personal fav is the abit be6-II which is still one of the best mobos on the market. you should be able to find one for like 110 bucks or so. has an extra ata 66 controller, it's slot1, theoverclockability of the thing is almost legendary(maybe too strong a word to use) it supports 1 mhz increments from 83 up to 200 so that isnt a problem, it's nice, stable, fast. has the 1/4 pci divider, it only has the 2/3 agp divider, but if you get a geforce or radeon card you shouldnt have a problem with 100mhz agp. it only supports up to 768mb of ram(oh no such a limit :) i could go on and on for days of why you would want a bx board and more specifically the be6-II :) but i'm sure other ppl can post their choices and you can just go to abit's website and saee the specs yourself :)
