Hi all,

I had just change my video card from FX5200nu (v9520 magic) to ATI 9600XT.

Normally we knew that nVidia driver will provide a "taskbar transparency" option in their driver and I really like this function because it made my windows looks very nice.

I just wants to ask if that're any similiar function available in ATI's driver? I currently using Catalysy 3.9.

not that i know of. i think if you want that you will need to get window fx or the latest version of window blinds. i think style xp has trans build in too but, not sure, never ran xp.

window fx is a little intensive on your system, but if its zippy, and you really want a custom GUI, its pretty good. Style XP is better because it uses the native xp skinning code and runs as fast with pretty much any skin. but if all you want is transparency, install window fx and use rage tweaker to turn on alpha blending support in os.

it has some other neat features too, such as window fade, shadowing, animation *how the window appears/dissappears* application based window trasparency, priority transparency for windows not in focus and menu tranparency. its really neat to use it to get that glass effect to your windows GUI. looks really sharp with xp too.
