Well I had a nice ISA based 3Com/USR modem but alas, there are no ISA slots on my new Soltek V5 board.

So, first I try the Creative Labs Modem Blaster 5633. No luck (wouldn't work at all with their new XP drivers, barely worked as a generic 56K).

Next I try an el-cheapo Award Technology Windows modem. Well, it works but the throughput isn't anything to write home about.

Then I see this mention of an MC-97 modem and my MB has a modem riser to support it.

So is this thing any good? Is it upgradeable to V.92? I can't seem to find much info on it.

Thanks!

:)
