I have this card:

as you can see it has Vapor cooler and design but the box was the old one. Nevertheless I can't seem to control voltage using MSI Afterburner. O/c works fine but not Vcore control.

Is there any other way of increasing voltage on this card through software? Like using BIOS and RBE or some other tool?

Thank you for your time!

Flash the bios to the Asus bios and I beleive you can... someone please confirm or deny that assertion please...

Did you make sure and check the little radio button in Afterburner to enable voltage control?

I don't know if the card is a reference design, other than the cooler, or not. If not, you're going to have issue with voltage control. If so, then it's doable for sure.

edit - sorry man, I pulled up the video card on Newegg's site and you're SOL as far as voltage control goes. It is not a reference design so afterburner won't work, nor will flashing it.

Well nothing I can do about it, I flashed it with MSI BIOS last night but voltages didn't work. In any case thanks guys, off to enjoy my new card, jump from 8800GT is fantastic

Depends on the game, newer ones with high details may need more bandwidth which means increasing the memory frequency can help, whereas at lower resolutions the core clock increase will be of more benefit.

Higher core clocks will improve performance at any resolution. Higher memory clocks only help if you're starved for bandwidth.
