I'm a hardcore FPS, quake 2, half-life 1&2, starsiege tribes, cs1.5/.6/source, battlefield 2, CoD, Far Cry etc. Although WoW has been taking up most of my time lately :/

I used to be but I paled in comparison to some of my friends. My A cousin of mine (who shall from this point forward be called Slayer which is a hadle I saw him use once) was the best person I ever saw at Quake 2 or any FPS game he decided to play. He was so good. I literally could not kill him. Ever. Then CS came along. I played on the now dead BloodStar severs and after a few years I got real good. And then Halo came out. Another cousin of mine (who shall from this point forward be called Nazimobile) beat it on legendary, not once, not twice, but FIFTY TIMES. He went to a tournament and came in second to guy who'd been pracicing six hours a day for three months for that tournament. And he only lost by ONE KILL. When we're playing a DM on Halo 1 or 2 it's Nazimobile in first with everyone else fighting over second place.

I've played Quake 1, 2, and 3. Unreal, UT, UT2K3, and UT2K4. Halo, and Halo 2. Serious Sam, and Serious Sam the Second Encounter. (And these are only the ones I can think of off the top of my head.) But the only game I really got good at, and the one I enjoyed the most was CS 1.6. Especially with the Realism mod.

EDIT: I cannot believe I forgot Tribes. Yes that's one I used to play avidly.

Mechwarrior 1 2 3, Delta Force 1 2 and w/e the rest of them are called up to black hawk down, half life 1, half life 2, Cs1.4,1.5,1.6,Source, DoD, DoD:Source, Ut2k3, Ut2k4.

Btw: I stared playing each of these when they first came out, so yea.

FPS is my game style of choice. I have just really gotten into computer gaming and so far I really only play COD and HL2. On console I play mostly Tom Clancy first and third person shooters along with the typical games like Halo and all the others.

FPS here too. COD2, BF2, CS, and UT2004. I will go through phases though, right now its a cod2 phase.

I mainly play Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

As for being hardcore, I would think I am. I have many times taken out like 6 or 7 guys at full health, with an MP40 or Thompson before dying (have to reload though), charging in at full speed (unfortunately, no backup).

That is one thing that really irritates me. I almost don't want to play FPS any more unless my friends are playing. It is so much more fun when people WORK TOGETHER AS A TEAM! It goes easier too. It's the point! Unless of course you are running strictly DM.

I used to be a hardcore FPS player. I played about 6-8 hours of Battlefield 1942/Desert Combat Mod a day, then I got a gf and my game time dropped fast and now I only play a few hours a day if at all :)

I also notice that my skills have nearly all diminished in most fps since taking a 2 year break of SWG/WoW/girlfriend.

hardcore pc gamers don't get laid, thats for sure
lol - whatever.
Being "hardcore" doesn't have to mean you abnegate all else. I consider myself a
"hardcore" gamer yet often go for weeks without playing. Too busy.

Hey, there are certainly worse reasons for cutting into your game time. :D

What servers do you frequent? I'm a ref at a server based in Germany called "Fueldump.de". It's an XP-reset server with only Fueldump. It sucks playing with a higher ping than everyone else, but usually I can still manage to pwn! :p

I tend to play on the "FueldumpAllTheTime" server or another server with many players (more acion).

I may have joined "Fueldump.de" once in the past (I remember seeing a message about a server located in Germany but English is the spoken language).

My ping value is about average I think (around 75).

I'm an FPS veteran for the '89 generation. I've been playing cs since I was 12. :)

Pentium 200mhz w/ MMX, 32 megabitches of ram, 4 megabitches of video. Oh man it lagged like ***.

My precious.

Yeah, I used to be...

My computer (mainly vid card) sucks bawls, so i'm stuck with CS 1.6, or CS:S..

GunZ is ADDICTIVE though

Nice thread bro. Kudos showing off the sticker :)

I like to say "I've been 'pwnin' n00bz since '92"

I'm probably pretty hardcore. I play 5 to 7 days a week for periods of 2-3 hours at times, weekends its way more. It seriously gets in the way of my school work, but heh such is life of a gamer I suppose.

No school, and no work makes a gamer play and play all day!
