Anyone familiar with Alienware? Subwoofer buzz is driving me crazy.

So out of no where my subwoofer started buzzing. The sound level or anything even going on has no effect. If I plug the headphones in it stops.

It's an Alienware 17 R2.

Your subwoofer has probably failed. Plugging the headphones in bypasses the circuit and kills current to the sub, which why it stops.
