hi !

I'm going to spend my christmas holidays in New York. :D
My parents are going to buy me something for Christmas.
But what ?

Is the 26oo+ better than the 24oo+ (in oc'ing) ?
(because its much more expensive --> 183$ / 298$) :(

Anyone still got a 26oo+ ?!

Thx

Greetz !

I would go with either the 2600 or 2700 as they both support the 333 cpu bus. With my new 2700 I have already turned the mult. up to 14 from 13 and the fsb up to 170 with no problems and vcore at 1.725v.

This is the first amd chip that I have ever been able to just turn up the mult.

You don't have to lower the mult., I actually raised mine. I am currently running 14 x 170.

Of course you can raise the multi but the whole point is to lower the multi and increase the FSB so you speed up your whole system and get more bandwith. For most overclockers the 333 FSB chips aren't really anything special because we normally unlock and crank up the FSB as it is.

333 doesnt doe you any good, i think most ocers are gonna run over 200 either way

so why pay extra for a 333 chip , my 2400 is currentlydoing

213*11 its in its 10th hour of p95 testing

ive been running it at 203*11 for a few weeks

Toddalaska, can you tell me what voltages you're using on memory and vcore? Your setup is very close to mine, and I was running 200fsb with an unlocked 1800 at 9x200 but for some reason, I can't get my 2400 to take a 200 fsb, even if I drop the multi down to 9. Totally weird. Any info you can give me is *much* appreciated.

Thanks,
K1
