Anyone have any stats/benches on the new SLI link for the 1070's/1080's?

I've read that the new SLI link for the 1070/1080 had higher bandwidth and should help to eliminate micro-stutter. Has anyone done any benches/tests to ascertain if this is true?

The overall takeaway was it is only helpful at 4K.

I couldn't find in the article where it shows exact numbers for either bridge, just that it only saw improvement at 4K.

Just to clarify, you do get performance increases at both resolutions (2560 and 4K), they just likely aren't noticeable since they're both well beyond 60 fps.

I've never read this article before. I never realized what kind of hardware it required to do this kind of analysis either.

The article mentions having vsync on eliminates micro-stutter? Is that only true if you're getting > 60 FPS?

If vsync is on and you are using a 60hz monitor, it still works.

A few others have used it for quite a while. Tom's, Anand, pcper, thetechreport, ...etc
