can't anyone be more help then blizz on this...ever since BC I've been having crashes like this codes vary a bit...

I've checked, triple checked my stuff. My guess is it's some conflict with my sound card and/or drivers. I have lastest drivers, I've formated my machine a couple of times, uninstalled & reinstalled drivers. Just after BC came out a lot of people where & still are having sound issues, such as the hardware accell & sound channel thing, you can't have both checked/maxed. If you do you get no sound & they are aware of this bug, I suppose it's possible this is part of the issue?

Anyhow I've posted in the tech forums & I get the same BS copy/paste replies, delete your WTF, Interface folders, update your drivers, oh your memory is bad, oh your pc is crap etc etc...which is just total BS. WoW is the only thing where I have any kind of issues.

Error 132 is memory related. I had to fix mine by giving my ram some more juice.

I've ran the windows mem test & the other memtest thing & my memory is fine...and as I said didnt' have any issues till BC & no other game, program or otherwise gives me probs.... and usually just before it crashing my sound goes to Sh%^ which leads me to believe it's something with sound or it's drivers?

and error 132 per blizz is an general error for currently unknown issues...

Long history of "?" on Error 132 from Blizzard on this issue. My particular case I had to lower my overclocks to a 'more stable level' as the CPU/Mem load was causing the instability to occur. Give it a try see if it helps.

I don't have anything over/under clocked....

Try underclocking your cpu and giving a bit more voltage to the RAM. I had this problem but all I had to do was reinstall and it fixed itself. If you have extra RAM somewhere try switching out sticks and see if that works.

Chances are its a hardware problem. Youve reformatted and updated drivers, which pretty much rules out software problems. I've run into problems with WoW every time I change hardware :(

if I had probs in other programs & games I would agree... but I have no probs any other time outside of WoW. I've run 2 different memtest things for 40+ hours each no mem issues, I've run ATI Tool or whatever it's called no GPU issues, etc etc, and I don't have any extra parts that would work in here...

but I'll try messing with voltages & such & see if that gets me anywhere...but again I can't see why WoW would be the only thing giving me issues if my memory is short on power or whatever...

No, its more a problem directly related to just WoW, and WoW only. All I know is from everything I read, 132 is ram related, and I fixed it with more juice.

I guess hardware problem wasn't the best phrase. I'm pretty sure that the crashes are being caused because WoW doesn't like your hardware. I guess its not the most well-programmed game. When I upgraded my video card, WoW would crash every other time I alt-tabbed. I updated drivers then ended up reformatting, but I still have the same problem. With my old video card, WoW would just crash randomly. I tried underclocking and giving more volts to the RAM, but it didn't help :(

Maybe a silly question, but your not crashing from alt+tabbing are you? Because thats a common error/bug with the latest patch.

From the sounds of it, it sounds like your convinced its a sound issue. I'd try to uninstall everything related with sound to see if that solves the problem. Probably a driver/support error.

Nope I play in windowed mode...so much better then alt tabing....but full screen does same thing.

juice the ram up a bit. when I was still in the process of fully fleshing out my OC, I got the same error. just a little bump in the ram voltage is what works.

As a side note, just because you aren't getting errors in anything but one program may not mean it's specifically tied to that program being coded poorly. There is a conflict somewhere between that piece of software and your hardware. Honestly, if it were something other than WoW I would say that it may be an issue with the program but... I haven't had a single crash since I juiced the RAM.

if you think it's a sound issue, try running wow without sound and see if it persists, or disable hardware acceleration and eax in the audio menu and see if you still get probs.. Then again wow is a strange beast, for the longest time I could not get any sound out of the game wether I reinstalled drivers for my soundcard or reinstalled the game, then I built a whole new pc and voila the sound returned lol.

I found my sound card drivers were messing with wow by running wow with a -nosound command. Try running wow like that to eliminate sound being a problem.

well I juiced up my voltage from 1.9v to 1.95v's and also uninstalled my sound drivers & then manually installed them & all the updates and so far no issues of crashing or sound issues in about a week now I think.

I just think that it's really odd that WoW had been working peachy king up until I installed BC then I got all these probs & all it took was bumping the voltage of the ram & installing the drivers manaually? WoW is a strange beast. But it's so damn fun to play. :)

I have had many many problems with WoW. Just for anyone that stumbles across this thread in the future I wanted to sort of outline what was happening to me.

-Very slow load times. I mean, after using my hearthstone I had to wait forever (~10 seconds) with the loading bar "filled" before my char was loaded. Zeppelin flights we're done loading just a bit before they reached their destination. This problem was fixed after I bought my newer Hard Drive (raptor), but I noticed the long load times went away when I disabled sound via the control panel (i.e. I didn't specify a default sound device).

-Alt-tabbing sent the system into a BSOD. Known nvidia bug, they claim to fix it by the end of september according to the inquirer, but I haven't had this happen to me for a few weeks. Maybe it's fixed.

-Error #132 occuring very frequently. This is my current problem. Was only fixed by playing WoW with a RAM frequency LOWER than stock. Only RAM though, CPU ran fine at it's overclocked frequency. In the process of RMA'ing yet another set of crucial ballistix...

That's about all that I can remember, hope it helps someone out.

mine crashes all the time, but I just attribute it to running the game thru WINE on linux or possibly because of a mod...those darn error dumps take up so much hdd space.

I get constant crashes my friends constantly crash, and just about every group I have someone crash randomly. Its probably just the game its self.
