Anyone Know how to fix a AGP slot for a Intel D850GB?

I have been trying to get my AGP slot on my motherboard to work for months, I am starting to wonder if its either broken or what.

I checked for conflicts there is none for the slot however I have conflicts for the card its self.

I tried changeing irqs moveing them to different one getting one irq free but most of the irqs i could not change for some reason.

I am sure it is not the Card I have tried other AGP cards with the same result.

I put the card in, start it Windows ME screen comes up then the screen goes black and nothing loads. Same result when i try Win XP beta.. so I also know its not the operating system.

When i do get in its 16 bit color 640 x 480 and telling me I have bad drivers. I already tried upgradeing them same result.

Basically I am wondering is it possible to replace the slot or fix this problem? I have no idea which it is.. I have Conflicts Gallore on the comp. most of them seem like there duplicates but do not show up on the device manager...

If anyone knows a way I can fix this please respond...

I'm wondering what kind of settings you have for your agp slot in your bios, have you checked them over good?

Also what kind of conflicts are showing up on your computer, perhaps if you could give us a short list we would have a better idea what is going on.

It could be a far streatch but perhaps if you removed earlyer video drivers you might have better luck with your gf3 ?

And last but not least, have you tried updating your bios?

Well in my bios I only have 2 settings for my video card, Type of video card and ammount of memory. I have it set for 256 MB I tried 64 no real diff... and it is already set for AGP..

conflicts conflicts... you really sure you want the list lol....

There is more but I do not have the modem and the Geforce 3 in at the moment... I setup a multilink on my old comp so i could download have not put the parts back in yet...

but for the most part thats the main ones that never go away I have tried changeing the resources but it will not change..

As for previous video driver i think i already did.

and my bios is at the latest did that last month.

From those conflicts listed, it doesn't seem like you have a clean install at all. That voodoo driver is totally out of place. Do you still have that card installed? Upgrading an OS doesn't equal a clean install.

Well Fresh install I already did that over 30 reformats...

and the V5 has to stay tell the AGP is working... otherwise I cannot boot up unless its 16 colors.. 640 x 480


currently I have the Geforce 3 in my old comp since i had to put the V5 in the new one....

I will put the parts back in again, and post the results....
