I really would like to know when the browser is coming out, because all they have said is that the browser will "trail the launch". Well... how big of a trail are we talking about here!?!

It will, since it's basically the full version of Opera.

Have you watched the demo video on wii.com? If it runs Google Earth and EBAY... with the small flash ads in the top corner... it's definitely a full browser.

They had a browser for the Dreamcast out before the system was even released. It was in the first issue of the Official Dreamcast Magazine. The one that had Ready2Rumble on the demo disc... or was that the disc that came with the system?

Dreamcast fans wanna help me out here?

the link just tells us the release date of the wii.

i suspect that the wii browser will be up for download around december 8th or so. That way all the consoles will have been released everywhere, giving everyone the chance to download it at the same time...

dunno why they couldn't do it on the 19th...but oh well. will probably only have to wait a few weeks. till then, i guess i'm stuck with FireFox on my PC. heh.

Omg.... if the browser comes out soon, and there is a firmware update to support external HD via USB, this will be my ultimate HTPC.
