Anyone know where I can find this heatsink thingy?

Hello,

Not sure if this is the right spot but I am looking for a heatsink to put on my X-fi card, I have a X-Fi Forte and newer revision they made with it comes with a heatsink on the X-Fi chip.

Anyone know where I can buy that little black heatsink thingy from?

You could probably use a NB/SB chipset heatsink and some thermal tape/adhesive. How big is that chip?

Hmm not sure how big, I tried putting a nb cooler but it was to big so maybe something thats a little smaller

What about sticking four vRAM/mosfet sinks on it in a 2x2 pattern? Something like these. They would make a 24x24mm square, whereas the NB sink are 37x37mm.

Can you measure the chip?

hmm I was thinking of doing something like that but it needs to be kinda low like the one in the pic cause my sound card is right above my video card

You might pick up something that would work at Radio Shack but you would have to get some thermal tape to make it adhere or some epoxy based TIM to glue it on.
