anyone running really high fsb's on a duron?

just wondering what fsb's people were able to get to on a duron. i'm stuck at 144 and everything else in my system ran fine at 166 with a 1700 xp.

clock spd, voltage, and mobo used would be helpfull too.

I had two 1GHz Morgans for about a month that I ran at 160MHz. One on an 8K7A+ and another on an 8KHA+.

Both were at about 1.95V and 1.2GHz.

I have my 1.2ghz Duron @ 1333 8X166fsb default voltage.

Geforce 256 @ 163/193

Vcore is 1.9v and the memory voltage is some what 3.05 or aorund there.

I've got a 1G Duron at 201MHz FSB and 151MHz memory bus on an Epox 8KHA+ with the 3/4 memory divisor.

1206MHz (6*201), core 1.85v, memory 2.8v.

okay, so i know the chip can handle the fsb. probably need to put the volt-mod back on my shuttle. kinda nervous as i still have no idea what caused my xp to fail.

Try this: Drop the multiplier down to 7.5 on your board, and hit 166fsb. That should work. Then if it does, test for stablity, and then go for 8x166 (Tough).

i played on my friend duron got 1.0g morgan up to 1.25
sorry dont remember the fsb.

tried at 7.5 and was a no go. 7 was nothing too. played around with some memory settings. i only had to lighten up on one setting. still it's running cas-2, 4 bank. 2-5-3-2-2 (think that's it. not sure about the last two though.

at any rate. been stable at 7.5x166 for 1245.
thanx for the help! this thing is screaming.

load temps are up to 33 now. still looking good.

now i'm wondering who's gotten a shuttle ak31 past 166

Ive got a crushed 750 duron running at 7.5x140 right now, it doesnt like loading windows though without a vcore of at least 1.95, im gonna unlock the chip tomorow and see how far i can get the fsb, im shootin for 166 so it can run at the same speed as my ram (its in an epox 8k3a+)
