anyone tried the 1006.1 beta drivers for a7a266

I tried them....Supposedly they are supposed to give you 30-60 more points in 3dmark2001.

The performance is supposedly alot faster.

But.....I switched back to my 1004, becuase it didn't allow me to be stable @ 1012.

There are no differences. I was hoping for some more voltage adjustments, and vio/ddr memory voltage adjustments.

I also have yet to notice a difference going from 1005 to 1006...but since they don't hinder anything for me, I've kept 'em

are your temp readings 10 degrees higher still??? cause i know that 1005 did that.

the temps in 1005 and 1006 are right the 10c raise is supposed to be correct according to asus... and for the 1006 bios it is an upgrade coded for the palamino chip... asus is gonna release a 1005 final version with is what most of us need... and then the final release of 1006 will have support for the palamino chips and give me an excuse to get one..!

I have the 1006 and I haven't seen a difference..I've been hoping for either a PCI divider or multiplier settings thru the BIOS (more voltage options would be nice too)

Yeah, more voltage options will give me exactly what I need. I'm 1.4 'bird @ 1652 /137/34/1.85v
My full load temp is 101f now (water)
I need all she's got Scotty!!!

Anyone know of a voltage mod for this board?
