Ya I had a really good C566 that I sold to a friend a few months back, I have gone all AMD now. It ran at 1020 with 1.9v cooled by an Alpha pal 6035. The cpu was a very early one I got it right when they first came out.

The machine was 100% stable you could play any game you want on it. I think the mobo was an Abit VT6X4, I sold it with the cpu. Funny thing is when I first got the cpu 1020 was not stable but after about a month of heavy use and burn in it became stable.

dang. mine is'nt stable at all. in games it boots me to the desktop, in seti it locks up and blue screens. hmm maybe i should burn it in like you did. see any major problems with my setup?: soyo sy-6vba 133 mobo(via apollo pro 133 bios), 64 mb pc 100 generic ram, voodoo 3 3000, 4.1 gb udma33 maxtor, dvd drive, ????
thanks
Ya the PC100 could be the cause of the trouble. If I remember right, it has been a while I was running it at 120fsb. PC100 might not run reliable at that speed. Can you try some PC 133 maybe from a friend or something?
