I have my Celeron II 700 @ 956 2.05v and i get 83fps in quake3arena in the normal preset setting, and the game options all off except for simple items. I used to get 106fps with my P3V4X and the Celeron II 700 only @ 877. What is going on?

Can anyone tell me there results with there setups?

What chipsets are these boards using? To many boards out there for me to remember the details on all of them but I have found that intel chipsets preform better then via so that very well could be your answer. Also the 440BX is the speed champ next I like the 815 followed by via

did you just swap motherboards or did a total reformat and re-installation of everything?

if you did just swap motherboards, then better download intel drivers for your motherboard and install them...

if you really wanna compare them on a clock-for-clock basis, install your OS CLEANLY. don't just swap motherboards and complain that this is slower than that. it's an unfair comparison. of course, the new motherboard would seem to be slower 'coz the drivers of the old mobo haven't been totally removed 'coz they were running different chipsets and the drivers of the new mobo haven't been installed properly.

I didn't see any new drivers on the website, can you find them for me? I also think the memory is the problem, it is running @ 91 instead of 133 like it would have on the P3V4X. Since the p3v4x is via and the apollo 133a chipset, it can add 33mhz to ram speed.
