I just got this new card, its a GF2. The previous owner says its not broken.

I put it in and installed the drivers and it screwed things up.

I later figured out that if I go to anything beyond 8bit color it'll leave mouse trails, and create so many artifacts that its almost impossible to work.

This is GF2, DX 8 Vcard, so True Color should be no problem. I tried two different drivers, both did the same thing. I even formatted it just now, and still have the same problem.

Has anybody come across this before? I have a feeling it has something to do with my BIOS maybe, since this is a new motherboard.

Please help me, I hate 8bit.

I took it out to beat it around a bit... but then I noticed a bulging capacitor on it... :/

I guess that was doing it. So I put this TNT2 back in and everything is good.

Can a capacitor really do that?
