I'm a little frustrated, I just got my new cak38 and can
only increase my cpu by 50mhz.(900-950) I was
wondering if there was anyway to increase the core
volts past the 1.850 on the KT7A. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

The Duron originally is a 700, so I already have
it overclocked to 900. I went to the cpu database and
printed out every one to the highest to lowest. I tried every
setting that was compatible with my Abit mobo. The fastest
setting I found was 8.5x112/37. I must have tried at least
20 different settings. This is what really stumps me, I
can't increase the setting FSB PLUS( I think it goes to 1-2 even to 1+. I see a lot of 9.5x105 or7.5x133 or even
7x140. It only seems to work with an even fsb like what
I'm running right now.(9.5x100) And my temps are fine!
PLEASE ANY HELP!

At www.tweakhardware.com they recommend using a resistor. Use a micro potentiometer instead and you can vary the voltage real time without having to reboot. It also allows you to avoid hitting the overvoltage protection circuit of the HIP6301 IC. I'm submitting a write up on this on Monday so keep an eye out for it. It's an easy mod but takes steady hands.

AmdGuy, Thank you so much. I will defiantly
keep my eyes open for your article. Will your
article be on the forum or the homepage?

Hopefully it'll get put on the front page. Colin, senior board member, recommended the pots and gave me details on how to do the mod. I just took some pics and did a detailed write up of the process.
