I prefer Apache version 1.3.22. The 2.x distros are a bit different to set up and install.

I'm an idiot - if I can figure out Apache, anyone can.

I like IIS personally. It's quick to install, and easy! I mean, damn! A blind, epileptic monkey with a hangover could set up and configure IIS!

... but the daily security patches can be annoying...

I would prefer Apache as my webserver of choice, if I were to put up a serious site... for a dumb or quick site, IIS would do.

I do, however, remember Oni mentioning to me that one time he reinstalled his machine, and installed IIS, and within 10 minutes he got hit with Nimda and/or RedAlert!
