I have been using an aquastealth on a celeron 550 and it has been working fine for 6 months. I was going to get an Athlon 1 gig and wanted to ask is this setup ok? Has anyone had a bad experience with the little pump they sell in the original kits, with the little tupperware jar?
I have seen the thing run for a long time right now without being plugged in because the 550 does not have a lot of heat but I know the 1 gig will burn it up in no time without a pump.

Is there a pump and housing I can replace this with that works longer?
I just don't want to smoke the processor on a damn pump.

One thing, why don't boards shutdown at a set temp?
I keep reading about smoked processors because of bad contact, loss of fan .... etc

thanks for any info and/or ideas

BE Cooling came out with an aluminum tank version called the Aquastealth 2. You can get it through http://www.aquastealth.com. Been doing some reading and wish I had purchased it. Does anyone know from experience how this tank holds up?

some site posted a how to about 4 months ago on how to build one of these. They used a pvc box they got at home depot I believe and had pics of the fittings and tank and its just like the aquastealth but its pvc and not metal.
ANYONE know what site had that article?
thanks big time for the post

The only artical I know of that uses a pvc box from home depot for a resevoir is www.spodesabode.com. Go to Dr.surleyjoe's articals about half way down the page there is a link to portable resevoir setup.
