I just got a heatercore from ebay that isnt what i bid on and am trying to get my money back, so i am thinking that i was going to buy the exact heatercore i want straight from the manufacturer, but it will cost $55, and for about $10 more i can get that new Black Ice heatercore. Which should i go with? How can the two be comparable when the car one is almost twice the size of the black ice heatercore?

well IMO a regluar heatercore will do you ok if you like making your own stuff. i got my heatercore off ebay for 18 shipped, and it looks really good. its bigger then the ones sold on the water cooling sites. the black ice is alot of money cuz your paying for the looks and really the perforance. they maybe great and all, but i dont think ud notice maybe 2-3c difference from a heatercore u got from a shop and got your own barbs to put on it. but if you have the extra money and your lazy then a blackice would be the way to go.

I already have all the barbs and everything and i was planning on doing it myself. I already have one fixed up but it doesnt fit, so i got one off ebay that was supposedley the right size but they sent me a different one. So are you saying that the Black ice could give me 3-4 C off a difference? that seems like a pretty big difference.

would u pay 60+ dollars more for a few degrees? (im not totaly sure what the difference would be, a guess)
IMO if the ebay heatercore is bigger and you get alot of air passing through it, it should be just as good. unless your gonna oc like a mad man, a few degrees wont kill you, unless u need them and to waste that extra money. i get 37c (25c case temp) idle at stock speeds with a crapy 12x5 alum rad.. so that heatercore that u and i have should be better then that dont you think? and for having a water mix of likr 60% anti freez (i wasnt paying attenion while pouring) i get pretty darn good temps with a crappy gettho 20min setup i did.
so im just trying to save you $$$. and i just believe that if your gonna go through all this trouble to water cool, you may as well custom make some parts. cuz water cooling gets useless to a point if you spend so much money. a 60 dollar hsf will get you pretty close to what a crappy watercooling setup thats twice the price.
so im just thinking commen sence, and trying to save you $$.
you dont have to go with my ideas, but im just hoping you think hard be4 u go buying whatever u see at first. (what i did, and now i gotta re-do it all :( )
