MadOnion is currently sending more WUs out than we are... hurry back Stanman, we need ya!

We really need to fold all we can these days to show the world that overclockers.com never surrenders! :) Its sad that we have LESS than 100 active members. What can we do to persuade more people to join us?

Threats are out of the question, right? I'll have another folding box soon, it's a celeron 466, so it won't be amazing, but better than nothing. I'll have to think about how to get people to join...

actually I think they just stepped it up. Before Stanman left we were outfolding them, but when I looked at their stats my reaction was that they had picked it up. On persuading more people, I don't know. Write a few articles about how good of a burn in utility is, money, begging, money, or we can make them an offer they can't refuse(Please tell me yal have seen Godfather Part 1). I will think about getting more users. But I am too slipping, my netfinity server got requisitioned away( ;( ) for other uses at school and that is causing me too slip. Working on it though, should have more machines coming soon.

Ok i just put a handful of rigs back on and the rest will be back on in the morning. What the HECK is going on anyway? MadOnion is ahead of us by 645 WU's for the day!!! In our top 20 members i see one boy that's been sick all week and sombody else that got
NUTN_DUN all week, cum-on guys we can't stand all these zero's. HELP!!!

yes, NUTNDUN, whats going on. Sickboy, where have you been???????

At the current rate on the chart MadOnion will pass us in mid september, doesn't anybody care? Don't tell me i jumped onto a sinking ship!!

no, I care, but to hell if they will pass us without me giving my best effort. Got at least 15 gigahertz P3s coming to my name in september, maybe more, just depends on how much I will have to share with SETI. And stan, this isn't a sinking ship, we really want to move foward.

Looks like Madonion is looking for compeitition...

"Also, after this little challenge with Athlon, how about we mount a much sterner test? The likes of Speedguide, Previo and The Knights aren't doing much so how about we go directly for Overclockers?
I know there are many Onions here who would love to get one over OCZ - hopefully that will motivate them even more..."

hmm seems they want to challenge us. Well do we want to challenge them?

I'm gonna start folding again, cuz I can't let Madonion pass us. But I have a Q: My Duron is taking more than 5 (almost 6) hours to complete one WU. Is that an OK speed? For me it seems slow, is there something I can do to speed things up?

What about making a post in the General section about the challenge from Mad O, I think that could give us some new members.

I'm folding as fast as I can as I'm sure many others are. I'll try to get a couple computers at work going but a lot of that is beyond my control so I don't know how that'll turn out. I should be able to squeeze a few more mhz out of my tbird, and maybe a few out of the duron but that's probably not going to add up to more than the equivalent of a 300mhz machine at most.

I joined this particular team because of the insight and honesty of the published content. And I know that this kinda goes against the grain but how about some shameless solicitation on the overclockers.com home page? Maybe provide an "in your face" daily update to provoke some interest as opposed to relying on people to follow links to learn more. We definitely need a higher active membership to move forward.

Just my 2 cents .... maybe you deserve change.

if you can pay shipping, i can get you a cat 5 cable essentially as long as you need it, guarantee it to work too!

post made in general discussion, hopefully this will draw in more folders!

will it have the ehternet ends also (the connectors)
if it will i could use about 30 feet of it because the computers are sperated by floors

thats not a problem, don't worry about the ends, I have them too and will go ahead and make the cable. shoot me an e-mail and we shall talk!
